It all began at Château-Thierry in 1968 when our Maison was founded by Robert Lété and his wife Liliane Vautrain, who joined their surnames to create their own Champagne House.
They planted small areas on their original 0.4-hectare plot on a quasi-yearly basis to progressively reach the 7.5-hectare vineyard of today.
Their daughter, Michèle, and their son, Frédéric, carried on and developed the family business and in 2011 they decided to pass the vineyard down to a second family in the Champagne region which is the deeply rooted in winemaking traditions in the Marne Valley: the Baron-Fuenté family.
Since 2011, we have been working hand in hand with our new heritage and are determined to continue the family history which we are now part of. Keeping with the Lété-Vautrain family tradition, we have pursued their same passion which drove them in their tireless work of developing our terroir.
Accordingly, in honour of the work we accomplished over several years, ‘’Brut Zéro’’ was created in 2018. With zero-dosage at the end of the champagne-making process, this vintage is the blending of our 3 grape varieties which are the perfect hallmarks of our valley.
